On Holy Thursday 2008, Archbishop Martin announced that the Archdiocese would celebrate a Year of Evangelisation.
The Year began on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, 29th June 2009 and will continue until 27th November 2010. A process of outlining a pastoral plan has commenced throughout the Archdiocese.
The Office of Evangelisation is staffed by a dedicated team who will consult, advise, lead and develop methods and means of evangelisation throughout the year.
Evangelisation is a life-long journey which is nurtured through prayer, catechesis, service, Scripture and the Sacraments.
Evangelisation starts with a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. It is our ongoing response to the presence of God in our lives and our efforts to share that Good News with others.
